The Department of Global Health E-Learning Group (eDGH) supports the department’s faculty, centers, and programs in the development of effective and innovative e-learning resources in support of in-classroom instruction, online courses, and grant-funded projects.

What does the eDGH do?

We support UW Department of Global Health faculty and staff in the development of effective e-learning. We coordinate the development and global delivery of the department’s online courses and make available open education resources for educational use worldwide.

We also provide services to clients across the University of Washington as well as externally in the development and delivery of innovative online learning.

What services does the eDGH offer DGH faculty?

Our team provides technical support to faculty in the use of UW’s campus-wide learning technologies including Canvas, Panopto, and others. We also provide consultation in the use of learning technology inside and outside of the classroom to encourage adoption of innovative teaching approaches.

Does the eDGH team bill for its time?

Services supporting department courses and core departmental functions is provided to faculty and staff at no charge. Likewise web support services for security and maintenance are freely available to the department and its centers and programs.
